The 1st IWWF World Wakesurf Championships will be held in Hong Kong, China at Tai Po Waterfront Park from 3rd to 10th November 2024.

A huge congratulations to Olivier Scokaert (SLW*) for his outstanding silver medal in the Open Skim category! Your performances were impressive. We are so proud of you!

🍫 Abygaelle Perren’s (NEU*) Remarkable Performance
Despite the absence of the U12 or U14 category, Abygaelle managed to secure an incredible 4th place in the U18 Skim division. With such a strong performance, a podium finish would have been within reach in her age group. Next time, Aby—you’ve got this!

Michael Kunz (COA*): 4th place in Open Surf & 5th place in Open Skim
Erba Matia (SAS*): 6th place in Masters Men Surf (finalist)

💥 An unforgettable week for our wakesurf team! Competing in the very first IWWF World Championships was an incredible experience, and each of you gave your best. You can all be proud of your performances.

🏄🏽Friday, Nov. 8, semi-finals
Matia Erba qualified for the finals in the master surf division
Open Women : Rachy Seger didn’t pass the semi in surf & Katerina Stary didn’t pass the semi in skim
Open Men Skim : Olivier Scokaert won his heat and jumped into the finals !!!
Mike Kunz did a great job too and qualified for the finals in Surf & Skim division !

⚠️ Due to an incoming Typhon the schedule of tomorrow changed… and unfortunately not all the runs will be live-streamed


🏄🏽‍♂️Tuesday, Nov. 7, LCQ
Mathieu Perren and Abygaelle Perren won their LCQ heat in skim division and are qualified for the finals !
Rachy Seger won her LCQ heat and jumped into the semi-final in surf division !
Katerina Stary & Thibaut L'Eplattenier didn’t qualified in the surf division and Matia Erba will run the LCQ in Master division.



🏄🏽Wednesday, Nov. 6, Skim qualifications

Our two juniors Mathieu PERREN (NEU) & Abygaelle PERREN (NEU) didn’t pass the first round despite very nice runs ! One more chance to qualify with the LCQ.

Open Women : Katerina STARY ()SLW) qualified directly for the semi-final !
Open Men : Olivier SCOKAERT (SLW ) won his heat and Mike Kunz was 2nd of his. Both are qualified for the semi-final !

🇨🇭The Opening Ceremony took place at the end of the day

Open Women : Katerina STARY (SLW) & Rachy SEGER (CAO) didn’t pass the first round and will run the LCQ.

Open Men : Mike KUNZ (COA) won his heat and qualified directly for the semi-final !
Thibaut L'EPLATTENIER (NEU) will run the LCQ.

The IWWF is pleased to announce that its 1st IWWF World Wakesurf Championships will be held in Hong Kong, China at Tai Po Waterfront Park from 3rd to 10th November 2024. The 2024 Nautique IWWF World Wakesurf Championships will be organised by the Hong Kong, China Waterski Association (HKCWA) and will include individual age-group categories and a team overall category. There will be a US$30,000.00 cash purse for the Open Men & Women’s skim and surf categories.
